We’re part of NGFP Fellowship 2026!

We're thrilled our very own Erica Austin (Kaiwhakahaere CEO) has been selected as one of this year’s#NGFPFellows with the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners and the School of International Futures (SOIF)!

The Next Generation Foresight Practitioner (NGFP) fellowship exists to accelerate the transformative potential of the next generation of changemakers using foresight as a key tool to envision inclusive and equitable futures globally. They advocate for their integral role in agenda-setting and connect them with today’s decision-makers. The NGFP Network is made up of nearly 1134 changemakers across 90 countries, of which 210 are fellows.

Over the next 12 months, we'll receive a kickstarter fund, mentorship, and opportunities for foresight training and capacity building - connecting with an incredible global network of changemakers using futures thinking to shape better, fairer, and more equitable futures.

This new cohort marks the start of a forward-looking annual cycle - welcoming 25 Fellows from 24 countries, including first-ever Fellows from the Tibet Autonomous Region, Sierra Leone, Iraq, and Indonesia.

This year’s call drew an incredible 6,000 expressions of interest, 777 submissions, and over 550 Young Voices applications, making it NGFP’s biggest response yet!

Huge thanks to the NGFP team, judges, partners, and community for making this possible - we're so excited for the year ahead and the futures we’ll co-create together.

The key challenge we're exploring is:
How can cities like Ōtautahi Christchurch be activated as living learning ecosystems where diverse communities co-create equitable, futures-focused pathways for intergenerational learning and transformation?

If you'd like to explore this with us, let's have a kōrero!
